
Renault is a French manufacturer of motor vehicles and Renault/Nissan (a strategic alliance) is the fifth-largest car manufacturer in the world. It is by far the strongest foreign car brand in Germany and has a market share of around 6.5% (2002) in the car and light commercial vehicle sector. Renault/Nissan sold more than 5.1 million vehicles globally in 2002.
Services provided by Client Vela during the project:
- Conceptual design, technical implementation, operation of the RKDI software package for Renault’s customer communications. This is a B2B2C application as well as a B2B software.
- All typical communication processes across the whole customer lifecycle are included.
- Customer Management including a segmentation model and ability for multi-channel capture.
- Embedded in the overall IT-landscape through highly automated interfaces - because of the high automation degree of all processes, the operative expenses could be reduced considerably.
Results and success achieved for the client:
- Creation of an integrated platform for customer and dealer communications.
- Use of sophisticated address management features via a web-based platform (associating dealers with their customers, maintaining address data and removing duplicate information, etc.).
- Framework-based development.
- Use of the Client Vela framework with various modules (Master Data Management, Campaigns, Addresses and Reporting).
